A few key parts about game making is the fact that Coding and Modeling is such a difficult thing to learn.
Making graphics, more just time consuming and frustrating.

If we're going to make games, we either have to pay programmers, Learn programming or get a good enough following so that it would be a programmers Honor to program for us.

I'd say the Latter is what we're going for.

THe only thing that is really Stopping us is a few things
1) The Big Idea-Have an Idea that anyone would agree with. Something fun yet not going to make someone an idiot (I HATE fanboys that think their game is fun for everyone just because it has more people or one extra feature)
2) Organization-Once we have the idea down, we need to organize it in a way that we could describe it in detail to programmers or we could
3) Publicity-Once we organize our idea and/or make it, we need to make sure it attracts people.
4) I don't know... but there might be one.

Another Idea I've had for a while is "Junkyard Coding"
-The idea is we look for snippets and things and cut and paste them togethor hoping it will work
--Named after making bootleg inventions using parts found in a junkyard.

One thing we should look into is organize how we plan on starting our first project.
-What will be the Game, theme and then after we figured out what we're going to do first, we'll go for it using an appropiate Language.
--Using SNippets, we will load them onto this board or someplace else and try to make it work.

Well I was planning to overhaul Super Mario War and turn it into Super Mario War Deluxe v1.0!

How would we do that?

Well, for the most part, super mario war can only be modded by grpahics and Levels, unless we were to understand how to code for it.

However, if you have Ideas you want to put in, we may be able to do it if we work togethor.

Basically just through finding code snippets and understanding how their variables and load sequencing works we could probably find a way to do it.

I mean, I'm for anything right now.

No problem.
Could I make a request though?

TO add in a "Improvised Programming Project"
-Basically so that we can Start creating games and platforms and potentially make some things for the Source code of SMW

Otherwise, I don't know if I really want to make a Mod for SMW since most of the work would be in terms of graphics and levels which is cool and all.... except... It really needs to appeal to me for me to want to do the work

I mean, Really what we would need is to understand
1) How to make C++ work with a graphics Library
-Creation and destruction
-Give those graphics Physics (Gravity, Velocity)
-Hittesting for when the Graphic hits the ground or another character thats going in the opposite direction
--Direction of being hit
2) How to make a server the Game would work off of.
-Peer to Peer networking
-Server networking
3) How to make goals for People
-A Game isn't a game without goals
4) Make editors for people to save and load in game (Maps, this that etc)

Or whatever else we want...
-Personally, I want to figure out how to make a block tool and a way to make SIngle player maps and expand the size of a map in Super Mario War.

Basically, What I'm thinking is we just go around the net looking for code that will teach one of these things and try and make it work.
-And we look up tutorials on How to make it work if copy and pasting doesn't work.
